Preparations

Just letting everyone know about what will be happening with Yu-Gi-Oh at the end of the month.

Yu-gi-oh will currently be free play. There will be no cost in playing except for tournaments.

Packs we have in stock will be a normal $6 as to be in line with our other products.

We do not have folders for these however we will maintain the 10 for $2 area and some Rare/Holo cards. that will be loose. We will try and make it so that the holographic cards are a fair price just as we do with Pokemon

We will be using the Advanced format as displayed here http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/pdf/Limited_Forbidden_Cards_11-03.pdf except when we have our Survivor challenges. Rules for these battles will be published before the time.

Anyway. Thats it for now. Hope to see you sunday.

For June 2011

Hi All

We have been doing some great things in the past month with the Pre-release for Black and White as well as battle Roads but we have exciting things happening from this month

Each week we will be running a tournament of some sort. Mainly Pokemon but at the end of the month we will be restarting Yu-Gi-Oh! also we will be looking in to other games that people will want to play.

Starting from this week and until the final week we will be running Pokemon Tournaments from 9/9:30am. These tournaments will be inclusive of all legal cards as well as the Black and White cards.

Please note that only at official BIG tournaments will black and white chards not be able to be used. Unfortunately at present we have no big tournaments but we will keep you updated.

We do have some good/bad news though. We will be trying to reduce the price of Holographic cards within the store, this however means that trade values will not be as much as they have been previously.

Anyway. Thats some of the updates more will be announced later this month

Pokemon Battle Roads 2011

Hi to Everyone.

I would like to remind you all that this weekend we have the Pokemon Battle Roads tournament being held at RH Gaming.

Now is the time to test to see how well your decks stand up to champions of past and present.

Remember to get in early as we are expecting quite alot of people and we do need to start at 9am. But also if you have any friends of family that also want to play. Bring them along.

Just remember.

All players DO need to bring a deck list. This includes a list of all cards in your deck (along with set, age group and POP ID Number)

Also please remember that for battle roads and nationals, Black and White cards are unable to be played.

A list of all tournament legal cards is available at http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=41415

Hope to see you there.

Pokemon Black and White

I know this is more of a personal enquiry than news but I would like to know that if you have pre-ordered. Which Pokemon game did you get and why.

I have just finished getting Pokemon White on order. I like to think of myself as a good character not evil. But I guess Good and Evil aren't black and white..

Pokemon Black and White Tournament and March Stuff

Hello everyone.

Just updating everyone on whats happening this month.

As you all should know. Pokemon Black and White come out for the Nintendo DS and DSi systems on the 10th of March. Until then I know that we have alot of our players (even me) playing their old games in preparation.

I am suggesting that on the 27th we have a Level 25 tournament. Level 25 no more but less (Level 26 and above can not play)

I have to work out about how to get this kind of tournament running but I can tell everyone that it will ONLY be Pokemon Black and White as there is no battle connectivity with pervious games.

Until the 27th we will be having weekly Pokemon tournaments. Every sunday we will have a Limited Pokemon tournament (Using the normal formats) and will cost $10. Tournaments like this start at 9am.

and for those people in the Black and White Tournament we will have 1/2 Price holographic cards. and $5 packs.

Anything else you would like? Please make a comment

We hope to see you on sunday.

Just ordered for end of feb

I have just finished ordering and I am please to inform everyone that we should be getting in the Pokemon Tins, some basic colored sleeves as well as a few boxes of the new Call of legends set.

Pokemon league continues on Sunday and hope to see people there.

Call of legends Pre-release

Hi again.

Jon here with a brief update on Sunday's Pre release.

As everyone should know by now our Pokemon Call of Legends was unavoidably delayed due to the shipment of the boosters. This was reproduce last week and we were able to have our prerelease last weekend.

We had 14 players and it seemed that except for a single problem at the end of the day ( which will be explained after) everyone had a great time.

As for problems. I would like to remind people that it is YOUR responsibility to keep your items with you at all times. We had an incident where someone lost their prerelease deck.

Fortunately and to the credit of all of other players and staff we were able to provide the person in question with a substitute deck. But again we ask that all of our players keep their decks with them at all times.

Since then the player did find their prerelease deck and we all were happy to help during the time. It's not nice to lose any decks. I should know.

Anyway now that all the decks have been found we hope that everyone can get their Pokemon decks up and running. Integrating the new set.

See you on Sunday.
